2017 promises to be a major year in the Nigerian music
industry as some of the most anticipated albums from
top Nigerian acts are scheduled to drop this year...

to drop this year..
1) Wizkid - Starboy wizkid had a very fruitful 2016 in
times of awards , accolades and worldwide recognition
but with a minimal amount of released songs..The
singer who announced he will be dropping four mix
tapes on his twitter account as also assured that his
highly anticipated album tentatively titled " Sounds From
the other side will be dropping this year..The album is
expected to feature akon, chrisbrown,Angelique kidjo,
drake and a lot more.
2) Davido - Davido signed a deal with Sony music early
2016 and dropped an Ep titled song of mercy late
2016..The artiste has promised that his sophomore
album entitled " OBO Baddest " should drop around
February or march this year.. The album is expected to
feature young thug, future,popcaan,treysongz,wale and
many more..
3) Mr Eazi- Mr Eazi had a fabulous 2016 winning next
rated at headies and best new act at sound city MVP
awards..With an ever increasing fan base, the artiste is
ready to drop a mixtape titled " Lagos to Accra "...In the
height of acceptance and his chart topping hits , an
album is in the making for mr Eazi and set to drop this
year..
4) Tekno - Golden boy of Africa had the biggest hit in
2016 titled pana..His ekelly produced dance, duro,
wash, where and rara were also moderate hits... With a
lot of other singles yet to be released and a recently
signed Sony deal, fans can only clamour more for the
highly anticipated debut album of Tekno which is set to
drop this year.
5) Korede bello- Korede bello is a member of the Main
2.0 team..With a viral Godwin single , Hits like mungo
park and do like that and considering the fact that label
mate, reekado banks has dropped his own album fans
are already anticipating the debut album of the ladies
man and the star act has confirmed his debut will be
dropping this year..
6) Ycee -Tinny entertainment, ycee had a wonderful
2016 with hits like Omo alhaji and jagaban.. With a
recently signed deal with Sony Africa, the young rap star
is expected to drop an highly anticipated debut album
this year 2016...
7) Niniola - Niniola is perhaps one of the most
promising female artistes out in Nigeria now..With hits
like Shaba and jigi jigi , fans and music pundits are in
high anticipation of the sultry singer debut album which
is scheduled for 2017..
