Young West Ham defender, Reece Oxford has left
West Ham for Reading on loan for the rest of the
season.
Oxford committed his future to West Ham in
December, signing a four-and-a-half year deal but has
not seen a lot of action.
The 18-year-old will continue the rest of the season
with championship side Reading, who are third on the
table.
“Reece was a player who was wanted on loan by a
number of clubs and we are absolutely delighted to
have secured his services for the remainder of the
season,” Reading chief executive Nigel Howe told the
club’s official website.
“He is young, but hungry for success and I am sure he
will prove an excellent addition to our squad and learn
a lot during his spell under Jaap Stam at Reading.”
Oxford joins Tiago Ilori, Adrian Popa and Jordon
Mutch in making the move to the Madejski Stadium
this month.
