Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s Giant Strides in Ogun State

For the people of Ogun State, the election of Senator Ibikunle
Amosun in the 2011 and 2015 general elections has added a
new dimension to the art of governance in the State. Most of
his people compare his achievements to the feats of Napoleon
the great. They refer to him as “Gomina Mekunu,” a Yoruba
word meaning “Governor of the masses.”

On assumption of office, he outlined the ‘Mission to Rebuild’
agenda of his administration, which is anchored in a five-
cardinal programme:
*Affordable and Qualitative Education
*Efficient Health Care Delivery
*Agricultural Production and Industrialization
*Affordable Housing and Urban Renewal
*Rural and Infrastructural Development/ Employment
Generation.

These programs are aimed at ensuring the welfare, prosperity
and security of the citizenry and the State. His administration
has since recorded significant achievements in various critical
