been killed in front of a construction company
on the Benin-Auchi-Okene expressway.
Two others were reportedly shot dead behind
the School of Engineering of the polytechnic and
around Sabo area, respectively. It was gathered
that a disagreement had ensued last Friday
between the two groups at the graduation party
of an unnamed student. When contacted on
Sunday, the Commissioner of Police, Haliru
Gwandu, confirmed the death of two persons
during the clashes between the rival cult groups.
Gwandu, however, disclosed that kingpins from
the groups had been arrested and were assisting
the police with useful information in their
investigation.

Final Year Student Of University Of Nigeria, Nsukka, Commits Sucide (Disturbing Pic )

I knew the guy back then at school, he lived off campus
same area as me. he always came to night class to
entertain us with jokes, read and sleep. He is in agric
economics final year, a very cheerful fellow. Don't judge his
suicidal action if you have never been depressed, just thank
GOD you have a good life. It's sad though. He was always
betting and it is said he committed sucide cause he was
owing people, he lost their money to betting.

Nasarawa State Varsity Retraces On Tuition Fee Hike

The Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSU) has retraced on
their earlier decision to increase the tuition fee by 20 percent
for the academic session 2015/2016.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mohammed
Mainoma, had disclosed that the management of the
university had planned to hike tuition fee by 20 per cent, which
was still subject to approval by the Governing Council of the
university and the state government.

The VC stated the that the monthly allocation from the state
government stood at N129 million, while the institution has a
salary wage bill of N229 million, leaving the management to
augment with N100 million monthly from other sources, hence
the need for the increase in fees.

Reports also stated that the reason for this latest action is yet
to be discovered.

fee regime remains unchanged also, Returning students shall
report for registration and academic activities with effect from

Bisi Alimi explains why he is joining Nigerian politics

Last week, Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi, hinted that
he may be joining Nigerian politics soon. This afternoon, he
confirmed his intention and also gave reasons why he is
venturing into the political scene.
"It's been a year since I made my first return trip back
to Nigeria after 8. I wrote this piece on Facebook a
year ago, the only thing that has changed has been
the harsh economic situations over 80% of Nigerians
found themselves now. The poor has become poorer.
The indifference of the political class is of concern
and the religious organisations are abandoning their
responsibility to the poor while they enrich
themselves. This is the reason I will be going into
politics because, you don't pray change into being,
you forced it into being. This won't be change like
before. No it won't be business as usual.

This will be
change driven by the audacity to hope"he wrote

6 Reasons Most Students Fail To Secure Admission Into Higher Institutions

I think that I am actually in a better position to write this
article; reason being that I have struggled many years seeking
admission into the higher institution. Experience they say is
the best teacher. I disagree with this statement, as wise
people learn from other peoples experiences. This is my
personal experience and I believe if you are wise enough you
will learn from it. Without much introduction, let me go straight
to the reasons most students fail to gain admission into higher
institutions:

1. FEAR
Fear simply means false evidence appearing real, fear is on the
basic reason why student find it difficult to gain admission into
the higher institution. Many a time it’s a fear of the unknown.
In the book of II Timothy 1:7, the Bible says: for God hath not
giving us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of
sound mind. Fear will make you believe and think that you
won’t have the admission, remember we become what we
think (Proverbs 23:7). See your self in school already and
eradicate fear from your life.

2. NEGATIVE REPORT
Negative report is reporting words or statement that
contradicts what God said or is saying concerning you. In the
Holy Book in Numbers 13:1-33 when twelve spies were sent to
secretly watch the land God promised them, afterwards Ten
spies came back with negative report whereas two came with
positive report.
The two spies that came with positive report were Joshua and
Caleb, they were the only ones among the twelve spies that
got into the promise land, although in God's original plan, all
ought to get there, but negative report interrupted that, that's
how dangerous a negative report is.
The second Jamb I sat for in the year 2014 (JAMB recorded
massive failure), I had 185 by the grace of God, I proceeded to
obtain Ambrose Alli University’s Post UTME form, went for the
exams at Ekpoma, before the commencement of the exam I
gave up considering the population of aspirants for the
examination. After the examination, I had a conversation with
loved ones about the outcome of the examination, my reply
was, ‘People plenty way apply AAU Medicine and Surgery’.
That statement was an evil report; it affected me as I was not
offered admission.
Speak life to your admission; death and life are in the power of
the tongue (mouth) Proverbs 18:23.

3. EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE
Examination malpractice is a menace that has eaten deep into
the Nigerian educational sector. We all know what examination
malpractice is i.e. ‘EXPO’. When you indulge in examination
malpractice, you are indirectly limiting God and yourself. It is
better to fail honourably. If God must help you to secure
admission you must shun examination malpractice.
The First JAMB I wrote in 2013, I had 150, don’t judge me,
examination malpractice got me that, it was my first attempt, I
was naïve about the paper type, I was given EXPO that didn’t
fit my paper type. If I had humble myself and permit God to
help I would have done better than that. 2013 I went for
tutorial, studied my text books cover to cover but I tangled
with Examination Malpractice.
2014 I obtained another form, no tutorial, studied less and I
got 185. During the examination the supervisor suggest that
anybody with EXPO should use but we must not make noise,
thank God I didn’t, when I contacted the guys I wrote the
examination in the same hall with, they failed woefully. The
last JAMB I wrote without any form of examination
malpractice I had 289 to the Glory of God.
Stay away from examination malpractice as it only limits your
ability and hinders God from helping you.

4. NEGATIVE MOTIVE FOR SCHOOLING
Your motive defines you, is the driving force that keeps you
moving. Motive can either be negative or positive. If your
motive for schooling is negative e.g. taking school as a free-
zone for all sorts of ungodly stuff—drinking, smoking, intimate
affair, exploit your parents, dating, clubbing/parting, cult
activities.
With such motive for schooling, God may deny you the
admission even do you deserve it, reason being that it will lead
to untimely death which is not the plan of God for you. Having
positive motive for schooling such as wanting to study hard,
involve in campus fellowship, be of good conduct etc., with
such motive God will catalyst your admission.

5. LACK OF PREPARATION
Proper preparation prevents poor performance, if you fail to
plan, you plan to fail. God is a God of speed not a God of rush.
When preparing for external examination such as JAMB,
WAEC, NECE, POST UTME etc, the secret to success is proper
preparation. Read hard like you don’t pray, pray earnestly like
you don’t read.
The best ways to prepare for external examination is by using
their syllabus and pass questions, don’t forget to consult your
recommended textbooks for the particular examination.

6. G-FACTOR
G-factor simply means God factor. This is the last but not the
least point. I consider this point as the most powerful of all,
because God is the most powerful. The scripture in Matthew
6:33 says ‘But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you’,
‘all these things’ could be the almighty admission you desire.
For you to get ‘all these things’ you must seek God first.
Is there anything too hard for God to do, absolutely NO! With
men it may be impossible but with God all things are possible.

For God to help you, you need to have an intimate relationship
with Him by giving your life to Him. If you give God your life, He
will take care of you.

A Kenyan pastor, Francis Gachuru, has shared the tale
of how his breasts produce milk.
Gachuru, the founder of Christ Ambassadors Church
International in Nairobi’s Mowlem area, is suffering
from a rare case of ‘prolactinoma’, a medical condition
which makes males produce milk from their breasts.

The chubby man, speaking on ‘The Nairobian ntv JIONI’,
said he has not had sex with his wife for over 10 years
due his medical status.

The pastor, whose breasts has grown to equal that of a
woman’s said his condition caused his sex drive to
reduce drastically, and also resulting in reduced libido,
low calcium, hormonal imbalance and even infertility.

He said, “Actually, the problem began immediately after
our wedding in 2000, then I could not perform to the
maximum, but we could not figure out the root cause.

“After stepping out of a cyber café back in 2007, I
noticed an unusual liquid on my shirt, but ignored it and
proceeded home in Kariobangi.
“Despite my condition, some of my friends and relatives
still chide me for not having sired a child.

“The problems extend beyond physical as it has rocked
my marriage as my wife almost left when she thought
she was the one with the problem.

“We are still together but I often suffer humiliation when
I stand to speak in front of people and even go ahead
and reprimand me for being infertile.

“They tell me I will die like a roadside dog as I have no
one to carry forth my name,” Gachuru, who has spent
over one million shillings to manage his condition,
added.

Soldiers Who Supply Arms To Militants Nabbed In Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP, Fatai
Owoseni, on Monday disclosed that the Command
arrested two Nigerian soldiers who allegedly supplied
arms to militants.

The CP told newsmen the arrest was made after
residents of Sixth Avenue in FESTAC Town alerted the
police.

While displaying the recovered items before newsmen
at the police headquarters, Owoseni said it would have
been disastrous if the weapons had been used.

He said, “After the discovery, the police arrested
Warrant Officer (WO) Longinus Madu, who is attached
to 353 Field Artillery and another over the incident.

“Based on credible information, police operatives
including operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad,
SARS stormed Sixth Avenue in Festac and recovered
two AK47 rifles, 24 AK47 rifle magazines and a Brownie
pistol magazine. An alarming number of 951 7.62mm
live ammunition, 110 7.65mm live ammunition, a mask,
vehicle number-plates and charms were also recovered.

“The command is working hard to trace how the arms
and ammunition got to the area and to ensure that
whoever is connected with that discovery is brought to
justice.

“This is a classic example of police-community
partnership. The police in that community have gained
confidence of the public that was why they offered
information that led to the recovery.

“The destruction the weapons would have done if the
criminals succeeded in their aim would have been
disastrous,” the CP stated.
